SA improves border intelligence

The continuing priority of improving South Africa's border intelligence has received a boost when Interpol's database for stolen passports were introduced to main airports. A man, trying to enter the country through Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, was nabbed when he tried to enter the country using a passport stolen from Pakistan a few years back. SA has to improve its border security after thousands of SA passports were stolen, terrorists and criminals using SA as entry point to the rest of the world, and our Department of Home Affairs is vilified for the rampant corruption and poor skills. Well done guys! Hope this keeps you motivated in setting up the Border Intelligence machinery before the 2010 World Cup.
